Silas graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2021 before completing an 18-month internship with Donnington Grove Veterinary Group in Newbury. He then undertook a further six-month stud season, gaining valuable experience in equine breeding, including the management of mares and foals.
Following this, Silas spent a year working in private equine practice in the UK before joining Scone Equine Hospital for the 2024 and 2025 breeding seasons.
Returning to Scone Equine Hospital in 2026 in a full-time capacity, Silas now works as an on-farm veterinarian, providing veterinary care to horses across the region. His experience in equine practice, breeding and stud work provides a well-rounded foundation for his role within the team.
