
Nicholas graduated from the state University of Uruguay in 2010.
He completed an internship and then stayed working as a clinical tutor. He has spent several years as an official veterinarian at race meetings at the national race track in Uruguay. Worked as an Eventing FEI veterinarian for the Uruguayan Equestrian team in several occasions. He has also worked as a private equine practitioner. Then moved across the world to Australia in 2017 to work as a Clinical Veterinarian tutor in Equine Surgery at the University of Melbourne where later he started a Residency in Equine Surgery. His current research includes catastrophic musculoskeletal injuries in race horses.
In March 2025, Nicholas successfully passed his exams and became a DACVS – Large Animal Specialist.
