Dr Brodie Argue

Dr. Brodie is a residency-trained equine sports medicine and rehabilitation veterinarian. He completed his veterinary science degree at Charles Sturt University, where he was awarded the Equine Veterinarian Australia Young Member Award for his commitment to the industry. After graduating, he completed an equine internship at Ballarat Equine, where he developed a special interest in sports medicine, lameness, and diagnostic imaging.

In 2018, Brodie joined the Scone Equine Group, working across two clinics – Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre and Avenel Equine Hospital. During this time, he served as an onsite veterinary consultant for Nutrien Equine at the Classic Campdraft Sale and as an onsite sports medicine veterinarian for the NCHA Futurity.

In 2021, Brodie pursued a residency in equine sports medicine and rehabilitation with REC Equine Specialists and the University of Queensland. During his residency, he obtained membership in the ANZCVS College of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation through examination. His research on the association of thoroughbred yearling racing performance with radiographic lesions identified in yearlings sold in Australia earned him the EVA Norm Larkin Award for Best Clinical Abstract and the ANZCVS Best Young Speaker Award.

In July 2024, Brodie returned to Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre where his clinical focus is on lameness, rehabilitation, and diagnostic imaging, in addition to having training in veterinary acupuncture and experience strength and conditioning of the equine athlete.  While based in Tamworth, Brodie is available on a weekly basis and by appointment at Scone Equine Hospital, Scone and the Equine Podiatry and Lameness Centre in Muswellbrook.

In his spare time, he enjoys participating in campdrafting and cutting events.
