Archie graduated with distinction from the University of Edinburgh, R(D)SVS. Following this, he worked in England as an ambulatory intern at Guasco and Associates under ISELP registered vet Dr Paolo Guasco, tending to mostly National Hunt and Flat racehorses with a focus on lameness and poor performance work-up and treatment. He also managed a significant portion of the reproductive caseload during the season, providing veterinary services to several thoroughbred studs and, to a lesser extent, undertaking Sports Horse artificial insemination work.
Archie first joined Scone Equine Hospital for the 2024 breeding season before returning to the Northern Hemisphere for their breeding season. He has now returned for the 2025 breeding season and is working as an Ambulatory veterinarian with Scone Equine Hospital.
