Scone Equine Hospital ICU
The Intensive Care Unit has a large team of specialist veterinarians, interns, nurses, and barn crew working together to provide 24-hour care for critically ill neonates, adults, and post-operative patients. Approximately 1000 patients are seen annually, including a high caseload of neonatal and adult medicine and post-surgical cases.
The Role
There are a variety of nursing roles that are stimulating and fast paced but well supported by an experienced team of specialists, interns, nurses and a hospital coordinator. These positions would suit both early-in-career nurses and experienced nurses looking to take the next step in their equine nursing careers and to gain experience in a high case load hospital.

Skills and experience
- Qualifications or experience in equine nursing
- Experience in working with a variety of horses
- Enthusiasm, motivation, and passion for patient care
- Strong teamwork and the ability to work autonomously.
