Bec graduated from Murdoch University, WA in 1998. She worked in mixed/equine practice in the United Kingdom before becoming a resident vet at Scarvagh House Stud in Northern Ireland. Becs' work for Scone Equine Hospital is based in Murrurundi and involves all aspects of stud medicine and equine reproduction. She also has a special interest in performance and sport horse breeding. She currently operates an artificial breeding centre on her property in Murrurundi.

The SEH has five Specialists in Equine Medicine or Surgery and a number of highly experienced senior veterinarians. Their skills and experiences cover all disciplines of equine veterinary science.
