Performance &
Lameness Evaluation
While many conditions present with obvious clinical signs, many are subtle, and a decrease in performance may be the only indication of a problem.
A veterinary examination can help localise a problem to a specific body system or determine the need for further diagnostic tests.
Diagnostic work-up may involve endoscopy, transtracheal lavage or bronchoalveolar lavage, lameness work-up, radiology, ultrasonography or blood sample analysis. If the problem is veterinary, we can help determine any potential reason for loss of performance and then formulate a plan to overcome it.
The SEH has five Specialists in Equine Medicine or Surgery and a number of highly experienced senior veterinarians. Their skills and experiences cover all disciplines of equine veterinary science.
